Thats what happens when you buy aftermarket parts Its never 100%.

Mine doesnt rub, didnt have a defect (except the first bar...it would fit over bolts). Like darksparkz, my first bar wouldnt fit into the bolts. It was way off not to mention it was shipped only in bubble wrap and powder coating was chipped and scratched to hell. mbarton sent a replacement and it was a lot better and fit.

As for shipping, like GT-R SE stated, shipping would not have done such a damage. Doesnt look like any paint chips either. Only way to bend a metal like that is to take another metal pipe, place it on the bar and smack the pipe with a hammer or something. It seems to be a manufacture defect.

Its kind of sad to see such a company produce products that is so inconsistent. You would think there would be a template of some sort. Its like they make each one as if it was the first version they made.
