Yup, there is no or little difference in power. The heat shield helps alot, but I have also diverted the air scoop towards the intake filter closer so I can get more cool air to it more efficiently. I'm also building a custom air box for the intake so that I can maximize efficiency. As for the sound, it's loud. That's all I can say, but my mileage has increased by 9% though. Power gain, probably no more than .5-1hp increase. It's quite noticeable once I reach 4500rpm, the car just accelerates a bit faster after that and it didn't when I had a performance air filter.
