Angry 2006 Sienna performace issues

I upgraded ( new lease) from a 2004 Sienna xle to an 2006 Sienna xle...

it is not the same car... the 04 had much better performance

here's the disturbing news,
1. acceleration problems on the 2006 sienna.
my '04 sienna had great acceleration, my dealer says, Toyota changed something on the '06 transmission which makes acceleration rougher and slower and causes tranny problems...

dealer says Toyota reps have looked at the problem in other Siennas (even Camrys)and there's nothing they can do about it ... in other words we are stuck with a horrible performance while accelerating and there's nothing Toyota will do....

2. Transmission problems:

similar to above ... Toyota changed something the transmission in the '06, which now rolls back in drive on an incline... (my '04 Sienna never had this problem

The only reason I went with another Sienna, was because I was very happy with my '04 Sienna
now I am stuck for the next 35 months

Yea The pickup is kind of slow maybe this is why they are making the engine 50hp larger in 2007.

Actually, I think there are some TSB's that might show how to fix it. They have new ECM updates for the tranny that should generally be able to fix your hesitation problem.

Yup, reason why we waited on the 07, then purchased the 07 after we were able to test drive. We noticed the 06 issues on test drives, and was not about to buy one even after the 2k rebates.
