sienna DVD navigation

HI,
a CD was accidentally inserted into the DVD navigation slot with a preexisting DVD. NOw the navigation does not work. ejecting map DVD does not work. Toyota service guy says it is not covered undered warrantly. The whole system needs to be changed. CD changer works. It is not even 9 months old van.

while it is dumb to put a CD into the navigation slot. They are almost close to each other. The navigation slot should have a failsafe mechanism not to suck in a any other disc with a preexisting disc.

Anyone has similar experiences or am I the first one? any suggestions please?

Why wouldn't it be covered under warranty? Unless you told them that it's ur fault and u caused the issue. I'd go back to another dealer and tell them that it's just not working for some reason. Do not tell them the whole story about how the slots are too close and what not.
