Trying to find a front license plate bracket?

For some unknown reason Toyota decided NOT to make a front license plate bracket for the 04-07 Siennas. So now they're telling me I just drill through my bumper and hang it that way. I can't believe that's what I have to do. I've seen front brackets/plates on other Siennas, so they must be getting them from somewhere. The question is where?

For those with front plates, what the heck do you have holding the plate onto the bumper cover??

If anyone else has any suggestions....LET ME KNOW!!!

There's got to be someone out there who drives in a state with the stupid front plates (stupid law if you ask me).

Smile TRD parts 4 u has it

It is on the trdparts4u.com web site. It is $6.30. Go to the home page, on the left under toyota parts click on replacement parts. go to the body part side (B) on the right and go to front bumper it is part number 8. It shows it without part numbers. Why the dealer didnt put one on I dont know but I see them on all the Sienna's I've come across since I saw you'r post. Your dealer is lazy I guess. That stuff normally comes in a bag on the floor with the wheel centers and stuff.

AHA! How about that. I went to 2 dealers and both told me me they don't make one.

One thing to note: When looking for my model year (2004), the part and diagram is NOT shown/available on trdparts4u.com. When I looked at the 2006 model year listings, it's there. This may have been something that was introduced on later model years. Why the hell the dealer doesn't know how to crossreference stuff is beyond me. I didn't think to ask them to look at newer model year listings. I even told the guys I've SEEN them on many Siennas.

This should fit a 2004 model year right? There should be no difference, right?

I hate the dealer. I love ToyotaNation.

Thanks again!!

it looks like it will

My wifes friend has a 2004 and there are only very small differances in the 2 I think it will. The curve of the bumper looks exectly the same to me. It looks like the same part. Hers came with the bracket in 2004.

bmwpower, did you ever get a front license bracket for your 2004 Sienna? I just purchased one, and find myself in the exact same boat - a dealer telling me to "just drill throught the bumper". Why are these guys so clueless - he's in a state with front plates!

YES! I believe it was from a newer model Sienna. I don't remember which year (maybe 2006 as stated above), but print out the page and bring it to the dealer.
