Cabin air filter question

I couldn't find the answer in the owner's manual so I hope I can find it in this forum. In our 2005 Sienna XLE Limited Edition, does it have a cabin air filter?

Cabin Air Filter

I don't know about the 2005 model, but the 2006 Sienna has a cabin air filter that you access by unhinging the glove compartment door. The filter is located behind it. I found the instructions to replace it in my owner's manual.

My original cabin air filter worked well for about 15,000 miles, but the replacement model is not as good - I seem to get more dust in the car with the new filter. I think the dealer sold me an after-market version, not a genuine Toyota part. Has anyone else had this problem?

My XLE (non-limited) does

It is located behind the glove box.

I was able to buy a new one from NAPA for $25 instead of the $75+ the dealer wanted. Granted it's not the same OEM quality, but for a filter that most older cars never had, it was an acceptable compromise.

FYI - 2005 XLE

Cabin Air Filter

Thanks for the NAPA tip; I paid $32 at my Toyota dealer for what appears to be a non-OEM model. I pay about $20 for Toyota brand engine air filters, so it's a mystery why the cabin air filters cost more.

Thanks for the answer. Wow, $75 for a cabin air filter from the Toyota dealer is completely outrageous! The cabin air filter for my Infiniti is only $22, and that was purchased from the dealer (with discount). Looks like I may have to look at online parts sites for cheaper filter prices.

I hope that's the case. This is not like a BMW or Mercedes part.
