Can't close Fuel Door

I have a sienna van 04. Someone opened the passsenger side door while i was refueling - ugh. All was ok accept the button to tell the computer that the door is open appears to be locked and i can't close the fuel door.

it is a two person job, but if you can hold the lever by the seat up, then have someone close the fuel door, it should stay shut.
