Buying Used 07 Sienna

I see it being listed at the dealer for $19,984 with 29K miles. Is that a good deal? I always get ripped off when buying a car. Can someone tell me how to buy a car? what to offer? please?

Thanks!

I would say get the specifics on the model and features, and go to Edmunds, kellybluebook, and nada to verify the price is accurate. All wont match in price, but you should be able to get an average.

Then I would get the VIN and do a carfax. Expect a deal if it has been in a wreck, or has more than 2 owners.

I just got a 07 Toyota XLE with 23K miles, and it was $22K .... So $20K sounds pretty close if it is an XLE. Also features like leather make a difference.

You may want some sort of 3rd party inspection since you are so close to the end of the warranty.

Go over it with a fine tooth comb and any little thing you want fixed try to get as part of the deal in you buying it.

These are some of the things I did, I am sure there are others out there with some more ideas.

All of nasadave's suggestions are really good. I'd add to try to get your own financing either through a credit union or some other lender who you have a history with in order to get a good rate.

I'm in the process of trying to sell my 06 Sienna so if you are willing to spend $1,500 less than your local dealer's asking price I"ll gladly sell you mine (shameless plug, I know). For the record it only has about 15,500 miles
