Question Price for 2004 Sienna XLE LTD FWD

Hello Everybody:
We are considering getting a Sienna XLE LTD FWD as our main transportation module. This means that our dear dear RX 300 has to go

The Costco preferred dealer gave us a quote of $36,200 for a 2004 XLE LTD FWD with Option Package #6 (DVD, Nav, backup camera and misc.). In a weak moment of magnanimity, he threw in the floor mats

Just wanted to ping everybody on the board and see if the above quoted price is reasonable.

More details: MSRP on above pkg: $38,870. Invoice is $35,068 and CR Wholesale price is $33,747.

Thanks in advance.

thats a good deal, of course i could beat it But you'd have to drive 9 hours Take the deal and make them throw in 100 dollars of parts and accesories just for good measure.

Thanks!

trdcamry2003:
Thanks for the info! The price is now down to $36,063 (haha!). But the only wrinkle is that apparantly these vans are quite rare to the point where the dealer would have to have one driven in from about 175 miles away.

The alternative is a 30-45 day wait for the color of our choice.

Are these dealer trades safe from a vehicle integrity point-of-view? In other words, they don't have a 19 year old tearing down (or up) on I-5 in a brand new minivan?

Thoughts are appreciated!

Dont go for the FWD, hold out and get the AWD, and you still can get it basically fully loaded for under 40k.

Normally when a dealer gets a car from another dealership, its get shipped out on a auto-carrier. They usually ships out the vehicles when they get a shipment in. Sometimes you will find a dealer who will go and get the vehicle themselves and when that happens, sometimes its one of the managers or the person who saold the vehicle.

Siennas XLE goes from $29,020-$35,240
Sienna XLE Limited goes from $35,240-$37,690 (Including AWD)

But I rather pick this van over the Sienna

FWD vs. AWD

All:
Thanks for the information from everybody!

Mosquito: The link that you sent for Edmunds works like a champ. Ton's of great info. from folks who have bought Sienna's over there.

xspeed: The Estima (which mfr?) looks intriguing. But to each his own. The rear end of the van looks a bit like a school bus for my taste! But then again, a minivan can't be expected to look anything different than a breadbox on wheels Which makes giving up our 02' RX that much of a heart-breaker!

Also, the FWD vs. AWD debate rages on in our household. My feeling is that, given we live in an abundantly sunny locale (San Jose, CA), the need for AWD is really not there. The feeling is that FWD + VSC + TRAC should give us enough stability to round the corners at local malls and pre-schools.

Edmunds has a option to get a quote on sienna (if i remember its for all cars) just see if someone matches the offer or beats it. I'd go from there...

Estima is from Toyota of Japan. You can't buy it here, sorry ol' chap. ^_^ Most of the cars I post here are from Toyota.

Post Latest Update

So the latest update is that we have a quote for a XLE LTD AWD fully loaded (HO Package - Nav, DVD, HID, Laser Cruise) for $38184.

And a XLE LTD FWD for about $36000. I guess it boils down to whether we will need AWD vs. FWD. Both are interestingly available right now in the color combo choice that we want.

We will be making a decision shortly on this. And I will keep this board updated on our choice.

Thanks!

Dude its RHD, its ESTIMA, it was parked outside a petsmart. I talk to the genteman...he said he bought the van when he was stationed in Japan for 9 years. When he came back to states, he just brought his van with him. It had all the Japanese goodies (rice accessories) lacy white curtains, half lacy white seat covers...yeah it was ESTIMA.

ALL Estimas badged as Estima, Estima Emina or Estima Lucida were originally rhd because they were only badged like that in the home (Japan) market. Everywhere else in the world they were badged as Previa or Tarago.

There's at least one Estima which has been converted to lhd. A guy from The Philipines has it and he's on the Toyota Estima Owners Club's Forum at http://www.estimaownersclub.com/community
