How hot do heated seats get?

I have been test driving some 04 and 05 Siennas with heated seats. Do these seats get hot or does it take a long time? From my impression, they do not heat up anywhere near as good as some other cars but I can not tell for sure if they are working?

They felt warmed up quite fast when set to high here in winter. However breakage of the seat heating element seems quite normal in the 04 and up family. My drivers seat lasted a little over one year and the passenger side a couple of years, but that was at >30K MI a year usage. I have 3 neighbors with 04/05's here and that failure was one of the things they mentioned over time. Have not opted to repair due to $$ or DIY complexity. You would have to look for a slight dip in the tach or a reading light dimming a bit as you turned the heaters on rapidly to full and load the alternator. Only other way would be getting to the heater fuses and with a meter.
