Overfilled, 1 mile later rough, now won't start

2004 Sienna CE

I overfilled tank (not used to self-serve) drove 1+ mile. Van started running rough. Pulled over, now tries to start but no go. Gas cap is definitely clicked.

This is in a rural area. I hitched a ride to a motel and am now stuck until I can get a tow truck or...?

Any help would be really appreciated...

Did you put diesel in the van? Perhaps it's bad gas. When you say overfill, how much overfilling did you do. I regularly put in a few extra bit of gas without issue.

what's the update? I don't think overfill is the issue.

I learned a lesson the hard way. I did put diesel in the tank, but Shade Tree Auto in White Salmon, WA got it running again today. I'll go back and pick it up tomorrow. He drained the diesel and added unleaded until it would start. Sounded like it wasn't pretty, but will be fine. Cost was more than reasonable, with the fee for Haz Waste to take the diesel costing the most.
Thanks for your postings.
