How to reset the average fuel economy reading....

I have a 2009 Sienna and for the life of me I can't figure out how to reset the fuel economy gage. It is located near the rear view mirror. You can cycle through the temperature, average fuel economy, current fuel economy, etc...Can you reset that to check mileage per tank of gas, or is it a lifetime gage?

When the display is in the Ave MPG mode, depress the two outside buttons (E/M & MODE) together for several seconds. It will read zero if the engine is off & the ignition is in the run mode.

I tend to do "per tank" miles in my head.. $200 to fill up.. 100 miles traveled

ok, its not that bad.. but my lifetime average (18.9) is very close to my typical per tank mileage (270-310 miles. 15.5-18 gallons).. suprise!

Good to know it can be reset. I've been curious, but never enough to either ask or check the owners manual.
