2010 Roof rails and cross bar removal
I want to take the crossbars off so that my yakima racks can have more room to move around. Plus, it's just overkill once I put the Yakima racks on.
So, I popped off the end caps and removed the torx screws. The ends of the rails can separate from the roof.
However, the rails are still attached to the roof at the center brace. Doesn't appear to be any bolt or screw or cap on it.
How do you get them off entirely? I put some pressure trying to get it off but I don't want to bend or break it. Does it roll, slide, clip???
None of the previous posts on this topic mention the center brace at all.
