Is there a standard strap available for strapping luggage onto the Roof Rack? Or should we use just normal rope?

Whenever I strap anything down, I use motorcycle tie downs. I've had good luck with Ancra. They're quick, easy and strong. As a result, my knot-tying skills have suffered. The cheapie knock-off tie-downs from Home Depot won't hold after a few years.
