On mine, I just went with OEM from the local dealer for the first pad change. They're pricey ($90) in my area, but can be found quite a bit cheaper online. There's some dealer in San Diego that sells them about $30 cheaper. I've never had a Japanese car before but have heard they are somewhat picky about what parts you put on. Call it fear or ignorance, but I didn't want to have to touch the brakes again until worn out so I paid the extra money. The rotors were in very good shape and I didn't want to save money on pads at the expense of the rotors. I would stay away from anything that is riveted.
