Angry Bank One Sensor One replacement

I had a P0031 Code on my 2004 Sienna equipped with laser cruise control. I had the sensor replaced and it was recoded (i was told) but the light still comes on. Toyota TSB EG001-05 says that you have to replace the break actuator assembly to get the lights to go off. Is there anyway to get around this problem? The car is running well and the normal cruise works if you don't try to engage the cruise in the laser mode (if you do you have to reset the DTC). The car has 175,000 miles on it but still runs and looks great. Is this Toyota's way of telling me it's time to trade?
