Ok, my brother in law just had #3 so need a mini van. found a 2004 Sienna LE, with 94,835 on the clock. Carfax says no accidents or other issues, has a scratch on the pass slider and rad. tank was low but that is about it. Used dealer wants $10,995 for it, the pass side slider is power the drivers is not. The power door will NOT open with the roof button but will open and close with the door handle?? Is this a expensive fix? Any insite would help, thanks in advance.

OK found out weld is from the driver door latch weak weld issue. But the Radiator does has a slight amount ofred scale where the finds meet the end tubes? Is this the rad. issue? It looks like a all aluminium rad. can it be repaired?

Well we bought it and MAN is it nice!! Only took a pint of toyota coolant to top off so could not be that low! Now lets see if we can take this thing to 300k!!

I have the same make, year and model with almost the same mileage and absolutely love it. We just had the 90M mile work done at a local shop which included the timing belt and water pump for right around $800, so if you are looking for the 300M then suggest you maintain it.

Enjoy.
Thanks for the reply! I noticed while replacing some of the power steering fluid a real offical looking sticker says "Timing Belt Replaced 67,000 Miles". Must have been done at a Stealership and they did not log it in Toyota Owners.com maint. records?
Also replaced cabin air filter, and doing ATF drain and refill with T-IV, and oil change, with Toyota filter!!

used to have 04 LE AWD. No problem for us. Should be a good van for you. Couple thing I like about the 04, not too many on the road vs 06-10. The rear quarter window is powered
also the 2nd row seat can be set together side by side (if you have 7 seater)
pretty much just oil change, keep an eye on transmission fluid, if old/bad, just change it. Otherwise, nothing else
So the '05 and on Sienna don't have powered rear quarter windows? The rearranging of the seats is pretty cool!

The door-hinge weld problem is common, although it hasn't happened yet to my '04 LE with about 78k miles.
I had a radiator leak, which required replacing the radiator. I'd say it's worth looking at the lower part of your radiator from time to time for tell-tale colorful powdery deposits. If your radiator fluid is pink, you'll see pinkish powder near a leak.
