2004 Sienna Starting Problem
I have a 2004 Sienna LE with 115K miles. It starts fine first thing in the morning or at the end of the work day. If the engine is fully warmed up and shut off for more than 5 minutes, it will not start on the first attempt. It will usually fire on the second attempt seconds later, and for sure on the third attempt. The engine runs fine once started.
On *ONE* occasion I let the starter crank on the first attempt longer than usual. The engine started but the idle speed was way low. One light tap on the throttle brought it back up to normal. I hesitate to bring the Sienna into a shop with such a quirky problem.
Any thoughts?
