I am having trouble with my power steering on my 2004 Sienna. Does anyone know if it is an adjustment or a replacement is needed?

When the car is cold the power steering is stiff and squeals. It seems to get better when it warms up.

I believe that if I buy a new power steering unit and install it, my problems should go away. Has anyone else experienced this around 110,000 miles. Curious ...

Likely the belt that drives it is loose and sliping and not giveing boost till it warms up and grabs. There is a recall that JUST came out for the cranksahft pulley doing this. get the stealership to check it out for free under the recall
