I am posting an FYI. My 1-year old wiped out the remote of my 2009 Sienna. Initially, I thought that he broke it so I checked pricing at my local dealership.

$134.93 for the part (p/n 89742AE051)
$39 to program

I followed the steps at

and was able to reprogram the remote myself.

Hey, thanks for posting that. I was looking for the instructions about 2 or 3 years ago and couldn't find anything useful. I also looked through the factory manual, which was just about useless despite its ridiculous price tag. The manual makes it sound like you need to hook up to some computer, but I knew there had to be a procedure that didn't require an expensive tool I decided to forgo the remote and just get a key. If I decide to get the remote, I hope I'll be able to find the video, but at least I know where to start looking now.
