AWD Damage while towing?

My wife and our 2004 AWD Sienna were victims in a hit and run. I just found out the tow truck driver already had a vehicle on his flat bed so he picked up our van by the front wheels and towed it. I know on some vehicles this can ruin something (differential, transfer coupling, etc.). Can't recall what, but if it's an issue I'd like to have it looked at while it's in the shop. Anyone know? Thanks

Yeah, if he towed your vehicle with 2 wheels on the ground most likely it's been damaged. Tell the shop what happened, and call the tow company to report this. The driver probably assumed it was a front wheel drive van. If it was a VERY short distance you might be ok, but I wouldn't want the van back after that....
