2008 Sienna Odometer Question for the Pro.

This is not intend for illegal gain for rolling mileage.

I removed my combination cluster panel to do some radar and security installation and DAMAGED it when i left by my Mr Heater(diesel) for a long time. Everythings, odometer and speed gages(whole thing ruin). Got a rediculos price from dealer and mileage correction program labors. My 2008 has 51009 on the clock. Found some nice used ones from the recyclers online. Here is the Magic question.
Where is the memory for mileage on the odometer store? My guess is on the combination meter circuit board. I found a couple at 55k to 60 which are closed enough and should be plug and play even if mileage is ahead. Please correct me if i am wrong!
Please provide intelligent technical help!!!!

Some vehicles keep mileage memory in the cluster, but I believe most now keep it in the BCM or ECU. I'd try one of the clusters you found.

Yes, it's usually stored in the cluster. If you could prove the mileage, you might be able to get a local speedometer repair shop to set the replacement to match your old one. Did you ask the dealer if they would reprogram a recycled unit? I don't know whether it has to be out of the vehicle.
