HELP!!2005 Toyota Sienna blowing fuse

Hi everyone. My brother who has a 2005 Toyota Sienna that keeps on blowing the tail light fuse. The fuse keeps on blowing out whenever he turns on the tail lights. If anyone knows the remedy to this problem, I would really appreciate your answer(s) and time. Thanks.

That can be pretty wide open, but a lot of shorts come from added on items such as trailer wiring.

My brother doesn't have a trailer. The only thing or stuffs he hauls are his kids and wife. He had a flip down 13" TV/DVD player installed last spring or this spring, I don't remember. But the thing is the TV is still working and I think it has it's own fuse and uses power straight from the battery.

It could be insulation on the wiring is worn through some place, and grounding out on metal. I'd check the wiring, starting in the liftgate area.

Tail light housings sometimes leak water. I don't know how common it is for the Sienna, but it was a problem for an older Toyota Camry I had.

I can imagine that if you have water in the housing, that could be the problem.
