PO793, Intermediate speed shaft sensor

Hi all, new to forum and I have an issue with DTC P0793, Intermediate speed shaft sensor. I replaced the sensor, the CEL did not illuminate for several miles. I did notice trans fluid on old sensor, thought it may have shorted out. New sensor installed, CEL illuminated exactly at 11 miles of driving. Same code P0793, cleared code with scanner. CEL illuminated at .08 miles, cleared code with scanner again. CEL illuminated again at .05 miles. Anyone with ideas on what to do next, any help will be appreciated?

Possible that the new sensor is faulty. Wouldn't be the first time I've encountered that. Replace the new sensor.
