2005 Sienna manual slide door jammed

Hello everyone,

We have a 2005 Sienna LE with a power sliding door on the passenger side and a manual sliding door on the driver side. My wife just called me from the roads to let me know that the driver side manual door got jammed somehow. It first would not close all the way and then they were able to shut it but now it won't open.

I've seen a lot of threads about the automatic door issues on this vehicle but nothing really on a non-motor or cable related issue. What am I in for? Anyone ever experienced this and was able to fix it? I'm still hopeful that the kids just dropped something that got jammed or so.

Any thoughts or suggestions before I even bother going to the dealership to be out hundreds of dollars?

Thanks.

It's a universal problem with the Sienna unfortunately. You may want to review this thread from our sister forum that may provide additional insight.

I had the same situation. In my case it was the child lock half way which I fixed with a credit card.
