DRL lightbulb change 164A (top bulb in headlight casing)

Hi Everyone, Great Site!

I have a '06 Sienna and just replaced the uppermost light in the headlight housing. It's a 164A (tiny bulb) that only comes on with the headlights.

Is this bulb supposed to "blink" along witht the lower 3457A bulb?

Mine does not and I can't remeber if it ever did.

Also, is there a way to turn off the DRL's (daytime running lights)?
They automatically come on when I start the engine and I would prefer to "bypass" the DRL's, so I can just park/idle w/o the lights being on (ie stealth mode at night =)
Thanks for sharing.

For the DRLs, take a look here:

You might try some of the non-destructive methods that work on other like-year Toyotas.

Also, I looked at mine and the bulb does not blink, it is always on solid.

Yes this is called a city light in europe and Japan, kind of like running lights. The DRLs are hard on bulbs so definatly can understand disabling.
