Sienna 2006 leaking VCG

I have a 2006 Sienna LE at 62K Miles. I went to the dealer today for a free 31 pt inspection.

They found that the VCG were leaking and they quoted for $600 to replace the 2 VCG.

I have a couple of questions:

1) Do we just replace the VCG or should we also look for some underlying cause of the leak, such as a clogged PCV system?
For eg. my other car is a Passat and when the VCG leaks, it is indicative of another problem that causes the VCG to leak.

2) Is this normal for a Sienna to have a VCG leak at 62K?

3) is there a DIY for replacing the VCG on a Sienna?

I've never heard of a PCV causing a valve cover gasket leak. If a PCV valve gets that stuck up oil and pressure normally goes out another path like a crank seal or dipstick tube. You would have to be talking some major pressure in the crankcase and upper engine to blow out a gasket like that.

Thank you for the explanation. I searched and on Camry V6 this is a common problem.
