reset procedure Service Maintenance Reminder Light

Posted by: Roadster

"Does anyone have a copy of the factory procedure to reset the SRS warning light on the 2004 Sienna without the use of the Toyota handheld diagnostic tool?"

Reset Procedure
Service Maintenance Reminder Light

1) Turn the ignition switch to "ON".
2) Turn the Odometer /Tripmeter to "ODO" mode.
(as explained in your operator's manual)
3) Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position.
4) Press down and hold the Tripmeter reset button while turning the ignition
switch to the "ON" position.
5) The Service Maintenance Reminder Light will:
a) light up solidly for 3 seconds.
b) blink for 2 seconds.
c) light up solidly for 1 second.
d) turn off.
6) Release the Tripmeter reset button.
7) Turn the ignition to the "OFF" position.
8) Turn the ignition to the "ON" position and confirm that the SMR light goes out.

Note: If the SMR light keeps blinking in step 5a, turn the ignition off and start the
procedure again from step 1.

Good luck!
