I put mine under the drivers seat. I have it driving my JL 6x9 3 ways I put in the door and the crappy little speakers from the factory in the rear. The upgraded speakers make a huge difference and just the fact a decent amp is feeding clean sound to the factory speakera in back made them sound a lot better as well. I then mounted a second smaller amp to an 8" sub box with sub and ran that to the rear making it easily removable if I need max cargo space.

I always worry about where to get the power and how to get the signal into the amp.
Also remembered back then when I added amp on my old old car, whenever I turned on the radio, there would be a loud "pop" noise from the sub.

getting power is easy, 4 gauge wire with in line 30 amp fuse ran through the firewall to the amp, amp remote wire (allows amp to turn on with radio) to the head unit and ground within 6 inches of amp. the new class d amps are extremely small and efficient. you shouldnt have any popping

Glad I found something about car audio. Being new here I was wondering if you could hook up amps to the weak factory speakers that no one really knows the size of. I just want clean quality sound coming from all my speakers. I have already purchased 6 1/2 infinity reference for front, but no clue what else to install. Help me out please

You can check sizes at onlinecarstero.com. Nothing will help with the dash unless you go bigger. Doors and rears are easy replacements

convert the door 6x9's into 6 1/2 components, place the tweeter on the dash, the rear speakers would not be necessary but if you really want the fill then have a audio shop build a 6 1/2 adapter or get the stock 5 1/4 size

I'd love to see some pictures if you guys have any. I'd like to upgrade the audio in my van, but I need some visual aids!
