1. Bought a Gentex mirror 453 on ebay for around $100 (price will vary).
It will fit over factory mirror bracket, same wedge style.
It came with a harness and wires, but were cut.
I believe, most of the newer ones are the 10 pins- 5 on each row.
2. Bought a 3/16"x 4ft heat shrink tubing as a wire cover from Fry's for $1.39. You'll only need about 6 inches or so.
It was wide enough to fit 3 wires that I extended it with 3 wires needed: homelink power, ground, compass/autodim power.
Surprisingly, in the SE (and pretty sure on other models since LE has the option to get a homelink mirror) , it came pre-wired tucked behind the light console.
I gave up trying it access it through the light console. I could only access the harness through the sunroof opening.
However, the harness has a 12 pin configuration-6 on each row and only 3 wires.
Cut the harness because you can't use it. I forgot which wires were which so use your handy test-light: ground, constant on, and ACC on.
Wire that to your mirror.
3. If you don't like the tubing, you can order a cover for $10 from here that goes from mirror to the headliner:

End result-pictures look similar to this (NOT my picture) as you can see the tubing run up into the headliner:
