Hi, i have some question about OEM Denso kit?

Hi everybody,
I have 2 Oem Denso ballasts and 2 Oem Philips bulbs, when i installed it to my 2011 Toyota Sienna headlight, it won't work it does turn on about 2 seconds then it turn off by itself, i thought may be the ballast or the bulb no good but i swap other one and it did the same with other one. I don't know why? But this Denso kit work fine with other Toyota Camry.

a few questions for you.

how did you go about wiring the setup? I don't think that a ballast will plug upto the low beam bulb wiring directly.

Do you have the HID headlight assemblies? you mentioned that you have 2 OEM philips bulbs. I know that D2S bulbs will not directly replace H11 bulbs.

I'm curious if you have all OEM parts or if you have some sort of aftermarket set up.

I'm personally looking at purchasing a 2012 sienna and want xenon headlights, but I do not want the limited package. One of the things I was worried about is how the computer would handle the different voltages of the halogen vs xenon ballast set up.

Assuming that you do have OEM Xenon headlights with OEM bulbs and ballasts, then the computer is probably seeing a voltage irregularity and is cutting power to the bulbs, thus your lights are shutting off quickly.

To make sure that the problem is not the ballast/bulb, touch the wires directly to your battery terminals. if they come on and stay on, then the parts you have are not the problem and rather an issue with the computer cutting power to the headlights.

Hi gftgrill,
After i connected two wires straight from Denso ballasts to car battery, it work fine. But it's not work when i connected to headlight connector, i did swap oem lexus rx330 projectors for my sienna projector. This complete Oem hid kit set up work fine on 2008 Toyota camry.
After i tried for all kind of ways but still not work then i searched online how to do set up for my 2011 toyota sienna but no help.
Finally i just buy from Ebay headlight relay harness and it work perfect.

My best guess is that the ECU is monitoring voltages based off of halogen headlights. The xenon ballasts are pulling different voltages and your computer is thinking that something is wrong with the headlights and cutting power.

The relay harness is probably your cheapest solution.

Do you have any pictures of the RX projectors in the headlight? Where you able to just unscrew the halogen projectors and do a direct swap or did you have to open the headlights to perform the swap?
