New AWD Sienna LE - doesn't seem to glide or coast
I have owned my new AWD Sienna for about 2 weeks now and generally love it however when coasting downhill or gliding on the flats I'm noticing a faint (engine? brake?) drag when the transmission is in the normal "D" position. I can confirm this drag by shifting from "D" to "N" while gliding or going downhill and observing a speed increase and visually, by observing a significant RPM drop.
I also have a 2010 Prius and am aware that it normally employs a slight engine drag in order to generate charge for the battery however this drag in the Prius is very faint when compared to the pronounced one with the Sienna.
Has anyone else noticed this - it is normal? Thanks in advance for any ideas or feedback.
