2011 Sienna Keyless Entry Programming
Needed another keyless entry for my 2011 Sienna LE; got a new one from an Ebay seller for $30. The bad news: beginnning with 2011, only a dealer with a scan tool that plugs into the body computer can program the keyless remote. In the Salt Lake area I was quoted $105 by two dealers, $50 (or $52) by two dealers and $30 by two dealers. Even $30 is too much, so thanks, Toyota, for building in some more profit for the dealers.
if anybody knows of a scan tool that will program the remotes, please advise. My independent mechanic says that his will not access that information, along with tire pressure monitoring, air bag programming, etc.
