How SAFE is it??

How safe is it to put child car seats in the 3rd row?

If any of you do put your children in the 3rd row, please share your experiences in this regards with reference to child's age, weight and make of the car seat. Please let me know how do people hook these up. I have no experience in this matter.

Many Thanks for your time and thoughts...

Wow... you from Nigeria?

Anyways, they're perfectly safe in the third row... just as safe as they'd be in the second row, and if you want to know how to install carseats back there, then consult your owner's manual and the manual that comes with your carseat. Pretty much any carseat on the market is just fine. There's really no rocket science to it.

I have a five year old in the third row. I use a booster seat cause he's a "big boy" now. He seems perfectly safe back there and happy cause sometimes he likes alone time with his toys. I don't recall what brand name it is but it was listed as a good seat by consumer reports. I also have a two year old in the second row so it's a permanant seat attached by the LATCH system. I also used the seat belt to make sure that seat goes nowhere. I think that's a greico.
Naturoses, why do you want to put the car seat in the third row? How old is the child you want to put back there? If it's still an infant, wouldn't it be better to put the seat in teh second row for easier ingress and egress?
