Automatic Power Folding Mirrors..do the buttons light up?

I noticed that the mirror controller and button to fold the mirrors do not light up when the headlights are on. Is this normal?

Is your model 2011 or 2012 limited AWD? If yours is 2011, I wish to know where it is. This is a lovely feature to have...

It's to the left of the steering column with the mirror adjusment. Push the button in to fold the mirrors. It's not lighted.

+1. Yep, not lighted. Button in, mirrors fold. Button out, mirrors unfold.

Not sure if you've figured this out yet...but once you shut down engine if you push the button (out) the mirrors will then unfold when you restart.

Yes, I did figure it out. This is a very useful button indeed.

Thanks

Sort of bizarre why they don't light up. I have a Toyota venza and the mirror control does not light up either.

I'm sure they're just trying to save a buck and only light up what is necessary. Typically I would agree you really don't adjust mirrors that often, but I like to use the power fold when parking in lots and such. You get used to where the buttons are quick though if you use it regularly.

I was curious to see if my Odyssey lights up the mirror controls and it doesn't either. Although, my old Mitsu Eclipse does. So maybe lighting up the mirror control is odd? I don't understand why they wouldn't light up the controls.

All of our Hondas (02,04,05,06,12) light up the mirror controls, but none of our Toyotas (07,09,11) do. We have always thought it odd that Toyota mirror controls are not lit.

What year Odyssey do you have with no lights on the mirror controls? Our 02, 05, and 12 Odyssey mirror controls are all lit.

I have a 2003 odyssey ex. I just double checked the mirror controls and they don't light up when I turn on the lights.

I stand corrected then. I thought the mirror controls on our 02 Ody were lit, but I guess not. I know the ones on our 05 Ody were lit.

it probably save them a few dollars on each car by NOT putting the light. even the most commonly use button, the windows switch is not lighted

I don't recall noticing on our '05 Ody. It didn't have power folding mirrors so I never had a reason to find the button

I did have some dash lights quit working on the Ody though and one little bulb was $40. I thought the guy at the parts counter was joking...weren't much cheaper online.
