How do you all prevent car seat indentations?

Hi All, I wanted to know how you all protect your Sienna leather seats from the damage caused by car seat installations?

Please send me a link of any products like foams etc., you use to protect leather seats...

Thanks in Advance...

ACS Rob: Thank you. But it looks thin from the picture in amazon. I am really surprised as to how it is protecting the seats...

I also read reviews about these where people say that the rubber like non-slip material at the bottom sticks to the leather seats causing them some sort of permanent stain/damage...

BTW: I have 2 eddie bauer 3 in 1 car seats and one of this is rear seat for at least 2 more months.

Thanks again.

We used the prince lionharts in our previous Odyssey and they seemed to help a little. More so with kid crap than anything. When we pulled the LATCH seats out the cusions were smooshed down but they cleared up after awhile. As tight as I put the carseats, I don't think anything short of plate steel would keep the cusion from deforming. If anything the Lionhart kept the car seat from rubbing/cutting into the leather.

I've had similar issues in my RX350, but found that after a few weeks while not 100% perfect, the leather was fine after removing the car seats. We have a 2011 Sienna LTD and I assume the leather will hold similar to my experience in the Lexus.

it's far from being thin. it's made of thick plastic like material with extra paddings. it does have a rubberized bottom for grip. if liquid from spills happen to get underneath, i can see how the rubber material can stick to your leather if you leave it to dry by itself. this shouldn't be a problem if you clean any spill that occurs.

I've been using this one:

Amazon Amazon

It's thin (which you want, for safety reasons), but it's dense so I haven't had any problems with indentations. The gray color matches the seats, and the material will not come off or stick to the seat.

Thanks ACS Rob. I read in the amazon reviews and understood that it is not food but the rubber material underneath seat protectot being stuck to the leather seat itself due to probably some temperature effects like too hot in summer etc.,

I am only trying to say that food should not dissolve that rubber material. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Now, coming to back of the car seat: how are you able to protect it?

So, you are saying, I need a seat protector which has steel plate inside, cushioned with high grade memory foam and dressed up with matching polyethylene material on the exterior. I could not find this anywhere...

I am only kidding

Don't forget the teflon coating and scotchguard the cloth UNDER the seat bottom to prevent the heat from welding the rubber to the leather!

We just have a simple "mat" we got from Babies R Us to put in our 2000 Maxima. The kids are big and heavy now (they're 3 and 5), and the leather seats are just fine.

This is the one I use. Seem to work ok so far. I would get one that matches your seat color. There is a warning inside that mentions the risk of color bleeding if left in the sun for long periods of time, but I haven't had any problems. The other thing nice is it's cupped on the bottom helping to hold liquid or other spilled stuff.
