I've notice an electronic buzzing noise coming from the lower left side of the driver's cockpit. The noise is especially noticable on de-acceleration and makes a low buzzing sound.
When I took in my vehicle to the dealership, they claimed they could not hear the sound. It's fairly constant.
I was wondering if anyone else had the same issue and how it got resolved?
Thx!

It happens to me too, specially when I park my car outside during winter time. When start first thing in the morning, I can hear that from bottom left.
I am curious to find out too.

OK, this is a SWAG, but: If you open the driver's door with the engine running and turn the engine off, does it "bong" at you? If it does, then does pressing the plunger switch inside the doorframe make the bonging stop *and make a buzzing sound from the bottom left of the dash*? Mine does (FWD Limited).
Just wondering if this could be related: maybe whatever it is that's releasing when I press the switch isn't releasing right on yours.

I have not noticed any 'bong' noise. Again, I really only notice the noise when the vehicle is in motion, mainly after acceleration when you come off the gas pedal. It's an electric buzzing noise or than a bong. Someone mentioned the ABS control - not sure if that is it.

You didn't take in what I was saying. If you shut the engine off with the driver's door open, then it bongs at you as some sort of warning (I consider this a bug, actually). If you press the door switch, it stops bonging *and I hear an electric buzz from the dash*. I'm wondering if this is the same noise. Try what I suggested and see if you get the bonging, and whether it's the same noise when you press the door switch.

Sorry - I did miss that. What door switch do you press to try and get that noise? The lock switch or is it just is it a switch that controls the interior lights/door open controller?
Thanks so much for your help.

That bong is a reminder you left your key in the ignition after you shut off the engine and opened the driver's door. The plunger will deactivate the bong as well as turn off the interior lights.
I have yet to hear the buzzing noise the OP described, though.

That's what I would have thought, but I'm going to check anyways to see if there is possibly a short in that plunger that is being amplified when I accelerate (loose line of logic, but heck - I want to get rid of the buzzing noise!)
Also, I don't have the 'bong' noise as I have the start button on my LTD model, so no key in the ignition reminder....

Yeaaah...Limited, no key to remove. That's why I consider it a bug.

If you do what I said -- turn the engine off with the door open -- you will. At least, I do and others with Limiteds have confirmed it.

Well, La De Dah! Aren't we special with the keyless ignition and all... LOL!!! I kid! I kid!

I have a 2007 Camry XLE and I hear this too. It sounds like its coming from the driver's foot well or dashboard. It buzzes\hums for about 3 seconds and goes away. It goes on and off regardless of my speed or if I'm moving. Anyone have any luck with this?
