You may be able to do that by modding the cables connected from camera to the screen. But how do you want to keep it on all the time? Do you want to connect it to forward gears?

Heh, I sometimes want to turn it on to see what the car behind me is doing while at a light. Putting the car in reverse seems antisocial. Seems like it'd be nice to be able to turn it on by holding a button down or something; it could enforce the same while-the-car-isn't-moving as the GPS (though of course I'd rather it didn't).

This is a standard option for the screen on the AVIC-Z120BT. However it only works right after you switched from reverse. It last for a few seconds and then the camera goes black. I'm assuming it goes black after it looses power.
