2011+ sienna coilovers?

First off I want to make this clear that in no way am I advertising or trying to make a profit. I've just bought a 2011 Sienna SE and have been searching and cannot find anything to get the car lower. (Besides Air)

Ok I have been talking to a reputable company on producing a coilover set for the 2011+ Sienna. I am not sure how many of you would be interested but would like to get a general idea and see if we could push them to develope an application for our cars. Please throw out your thoughts or opinions. If this fails I guess I will be going on air. Thanks.

Will

sure man... actually i dont know if you've looked around here but the problem is I tried to work with H&R and Eibach to make us a set of springs and I had about 30 people sign up but Eibach just wanted to shrug us off at the end so it didn't happen... But if you can get this one going I will make sure to help you communicate with the people in my group buy... keep in touch bro

Yes there is no guarantee that this will go thru 100% but its worth a shot. The company wanted to get me to do a online poll to see if there is enough interest in order for them to make a decision on how to proceed. The company I have been talking to is BC Racing Suspension. I don't think its much work just to see if people are interested but from the looks of things I see there are many views but no responses. Also coilovers will be more money than springs and I am not so sure people will want to go that route. Me personally I love lowered cars so I will be on a mission to get this lowered. I really would not to go air since this is also a family hauler and I already have my other car on air sus. Let me know what you think or if this is even worth trying?

I'm in. But, i'd rather have a 1-1.5" drop spring b/c of the price and I like the way springs ride better then coilovers from my experience. Cape had a group buy going strong about a year ago but the companies didn't come through

I understand how many would rather have a subtle drop rather than something more extreme and that the price factor will pay a part as well. Car is rather new so I think it would be a while before any company would jump and make suspension components it. And the fact that its not a heavily modded car and a minivan. Won't be a hot selling item. I know its a long shot but still willing to give it a try.

Cape have you given up on finding other companies?

Hows it going man.... Yeah after eibach and h&r i stopped because if we were going to do the groupbuy i wantted to make sure were working with people who know what theyre doing... There are other companies but cant risk putting generic springs especially on a van... Anyway let me know what else u can come up with thanks

Try Canuck Motorsports, they may be willing to cater to custom orders for smaller groups. They did one for a buddy's Mazda 5.

i think this subject came along in another forum as well - i know Ground Control (if they're still around) used to make custom coilover setups for custom applications. i think they used Eibach springs for their coilovers, and they came in a variety of applications (street, drag, auto-x, road race, or custom rates). they even had tender spring setups.

They were nice enough about 12 years ago to piece together a coilover setup for my auto-x car because our auto-x course and road course were generally run counter-clockwise, so i figured might as well see if could order something for that. instead of charging me an arm and a leg for a custom setup, they went into their parts bin and sourced me both civic and integra parts that they already had that were fairly close to what i was looking for, and sold me the whole thing as a regular kit (saved a bunch of $$$).

If there are enough people, maybe they can do a group deal, or source parts from the closest available vehicle to save some time and $$$. then they can build the coilover shock and mount, and use existing part# springs to save manufacturing costs.

I'm sure the Honda Oddity/LaGreat has aftermarket coilover setups available - assuming the vans are similarly sized and weight about the same, their springs might work w/ a coilover setup for the Sienna, since the springs don't really know (or care) what vehicle they end up on.

Well the company I spoke with was BC Racing and they want us to I guess do a poll and see how many people are interested before they decide whether to move forward or not with production. Im still checking with other companys and researching to see if there are applications that are compatible with this chassis.
