USA Michelin Tires Worn Out @ 30000 miles

I have my original Michelin Tires on my 2011 Toyota Sienna and now @30000 miles I have to replace them. Did anyone have the same problem? The tries have 60000 miles limited waranty. I conatcted Michelin and they told me that I can purchase any new tires/any brands and get 50% off. Do you guys suggest any good tire brand. I think Michelin is the best. Should I get the same tire?

Thanks

30k isn't horrible by todays standards. If Michelin will warranty them...I would jump at the chance and probably buy the same thing if you like them otherwise. I don't see us getting 20k out of the Goodyears. They were starting to hydroplane bad when I installed the snow tires this fall and they've only got 12k miles on them!

Minivans eat tires. You can probably get the Michelin Primacy or Energy now, I would get the Primacy (a location of USA doesn't help much for tire recommendations). They will be expensive, so the discount will help. Otherwise you can wait a few months and Michelin will have a new tire the Defender with a little better treadlife and a little worse handling at a lower price point (replacing they symmetry and harmony).

OEM tires, even from Michelin, are never very good. Even with the same name as a replacment they are still made to the car manufacturers specs which is fuel economy and being quiet, not good traction and treadlife.

I'll be lucky to get 45k out of my OEM Firestones.

I wish my OEM's were worn out. Then, my wife would let me buy new tires. I only have about 6500 miles, so unfortunately it's going to be a while.

Suggestions:
a) Lots of burnouts
b) Point out how much safer she'll be when driving if you have decent meats on there

The word is, the runflats disappear quicker than any other tire so you should be in good shape.
