Gen 5 Tein S Tech springs review

I picked up the springs for about $215. I don't recall where I got them, but a little web surfing and you should have no problem locating a set for a fair price. I have had them on now for about 5 months and love'em. The springs provide a 1.7" drop in the front and 1.5" in the rear. If you have 18" wheels, there probably shouldn't be much of a gap between the wheel well and the tire. On my car though, I have 17's and I could afford another 0.5" drop in the front and 0.3" in the rear. I have the SE so the ride prior to the install was somewhat firm already. After the install, there wasn't a noticeable change in ride quality. The install was easy and took a little less then three hours by myself using a hydraulic jack and ratchet type tools. The front install was a snap. The rear however was a little frustrating because you have to remove the rear panel to access the top shock mounts. With this kit speed bumps need to be taken slowly and at an angle because if you take them too fast, the frame rails will hit the speed bump. Trust me, it is not a cool feeling. The car handles like it is on rails. If you want to go that low, I think they are a great set of springs.
