How do you think the Prius gets juice?

The motor is the recharging mechanism. The motors would only be used when there is hard accelerating. The rest of the time, cruising at near constant speed the gasoling motor is using the electirc motors as generators.

And yeah, I'm serious, 295ft/lbs 0-1200 RPM.
