i would look at your chassis rails and your front reinforcement bar...where the rad hooks up...to see if its warped. I once bought and 86 and the owner said it was just a fender-bender...turned out that the little fender bender had pushed one of the bumper brackets inward causing the chassis rail to buckle ever so slightly...you would never have noticed untill you started to examine whether it was level or not.
once you got a bent chassis, that car is as good as wood...especially for drifting.
