Dude give us some credit. No matter how many time you wipe it off and stick it back in after the first time it has sat for ages, it will smear all up the dipstick regardless and when you pull it back out the oil is all over the darn thing. It sucks, so the only decent reading you can get is after it has been sitting for ages.
