Most people say not to use it in the oil on a higher mileage car because in doing it's cleaning job it may actually knock out some crap/sludge that is blocking a leak.

A fuel injector cleaner with PEA in it is better for putting in the gas tank. This used to include Techron and BG44K but no longer does. Redline SI-1 still contains this compound, a very effective injector cleaner, and is often recommended.

Interesting that they say to use the sucking in of the Seafoam to actually stall the engine. Never done it that way, but I guess it would allow more of the Seafoam to stay and soak in instead of immediately burning off.

I say a bottle of SI-1 in the tank and half a can of Seafoam into the engine. Then you could just save the other half or do the treatment a second time. It's definitely a good product for cleaning the internals, but not that great of an injector cleaner.
