pancakes New TN User Join Date: Sep 2009 Location: NC Posts: 19 Gameroom cash: $1500 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts	Cost for timing chain service I may purchase a 1994 2.4L truck (190K miles) and the owner is not sure whether the previous owner has had the chain serviced, and the current owner has not. 1. Should I just look for another truck? 2. If I do buy it, I would attempt to service the chain myself. What is the overall cost to do this oneself? I would probably to the water pump while I'm in there as well. 3. I have changed brakes, mufflers, and water pumps, how difficult is the timing chain service?
