Yeah at this point I wouldn't associate with the Corolla. not only does it not connect at all with the current boringolla its RWD. Also what enthusiast would want to drive a car that's part of the Corolla lineup. It would just be another trim line and not a separate respectable sports car.
So maybe Celica. I remember reading a little while ago Toyota wanted to resurrect the Celica. We'll see. I'm sure Toyota will have different names or some alterations for the different markets.
I think FT-86 works.
Also remember reports that Toyota will sell its version in Japan only. Is that still true or was that just a rumor? Oh yeah, selling it as a Scion would defeat the whole purpose of a Toyota branded sports car. Scion should have their own credible sports or sporty car then Toyota has their actual sports car.
