With the FT-86 and LF-A, Toyota is slowly starting to realize again the importance of "brand image". Only Toyota products will help Toyota's image and not Scion so they need to be badged 'Toyota'. Let's not forget, the success of Toyota in the early 2000s was a result of all the efforts and reputation Toyota built in the 1980s and 1990s. The false sense of security led to Toyota making sales and expansion their primary objective.
Toyota needs to revisit the philosophy from the 1980s and 1990s and hopefully with the technology, precision and innovation Toyota is discovering with their masterpiece LF-A and racing will trickle down to cheaper products for example, it is awesome that Toyota is experimenting with 10 independent throttle bodies in LF-A V10 for best throttle response. This could be something Toyota might utilize in V6 and V8 engines in the future as well.

Either kill it or come out with killer products. Like small cool cars, back to their core. Not bloated Toyota cars with as scion badge. But yes make some performance cars for Toyota. That's anothe stragedy.
