You do realize that the the Matrix / Vibe / Volt are really just a 4dr Corolla hatch back.
Just like the Venza is essentally a Camry wagon.

I think even the 1ZZ might be an upgrade if it isn't too much of a heart ache to transplant in.

It doesn't have the power of the 2zz, but they are more readily available.
Finding one at a reasonable co$t is still a big factor though.

My main reason for interest in these engines is that parts for them can be had here, unlike parts for a 20V. But a 20V or a GZE would be much cheaper.
