Just took delivery on a 2010 4Runner Limited; purchased sight unseen before the Texas Auto Show. Really shocked when we discovered no running boars. Extremely difficult for short folks to get in. All advice welcome.
I really like the 2010 4Runner, and if I were in the market right now I'd buy the Trail 4X4 trim line. I can't offer any opinion or advice about running boards since I never use them because they're too much of a hindrance when I'm off-road.
Thanks for website. Also got a reply from Canada that up there the running boards come standard on the Limited model 4Runner. Still have yet to receive a reply from Toyota...but understandable with their other problems.
Found what we were looking for at Running Boards Wharehouse. Thanks to all who responded to my request for information and advice. Will give all my opinion after they are installed.
So here's a dumb question.....once you've order the running boards from this website....where do you take them to have them put on your 4R without getting taken for a ride on the price? I don't trust myself or my husband to do it ourselves!
I took mine to the dealer since we had not seen a picture of the 2010 before ordering. My dealer in Williamsburg VA is Casey Toyota. They installed the boards with cost to me.
One more reason why I believe that this bad rap on Toyota will be short lived...good cars, good people.
